AccessCoVE Innovation Competition 2025–2026: Final Results Announced

The AccessCoVE Innovation Competition 2025–2026 concluded with its Final Online Event, bringing together finalist teams, participating schools, mentors, evaluators and project representatives.

The competition invited students aged 12–18 to develop creative ideas addressing real-life accessibility challenges, using inclusive thinking and universal design principles.

During the Final Online Event, the finalist teams briefly presented their ideas, and the final ranking was announced.

The final ranking is as follows:

1st place: AccessMaps, by Mary-Zoe Panousaki and Christianna Sotiriadou
2nd place: Interactive Information Displays, by Simon Lindqvist
3rd place: VagVis Shopping Cart, by Erik Liden
4th place: Wearable Bracelet, by Elis Stenelund and Gosta Stodberg
5th place: Mobile Application for In-Store Navigation, by Emil Kettisen and Elliot Pang

The winning proposal, AccessMaps, focuses on improving accessibility information through a practical mapping-based idea designed to support people with disabilities in navigating everyday environments more confidently.

AccessCoVE congratulates all finalist teams and thanks all participating students, supervising teachers, mentors, evaluators and project partners who contributed to this year’s competition.

The competition has highlighted the ability of young people to identify accessibility barriers and propose ideas that can support more inclusive communities.
