We are excited to announce the launch of the mentoring programme for the innovation competition for schools! The mentoring phase will consist of five thematic online sessions, delivered in English and open to all applicants. Each session will feature one or more mentors presenting key concepts and offering practical advice.

Session 1: How to Communicate and Present an Idea

This session will provide practical tips on structuring a clear and engaging proposal, communicating value, using visuals effectively, and preparing a compelling video or presentation. Although it is placed early in the programme to support students throughout the mentoring process, a short recap of key tips will also be offered at the end of the phase, just before final presentations.
Session 2: What Is Accessibility and Why It Matters

An introduction to accessibility, its core concepts, the social and human-rights perspective, and how accessibility relates to the goals of the competition.
Session 3: Universal Design and Inclusive Thinking
Tuesday, 3 March 2026
This session will focus on the 7 Principles of Universal Design, illustrated with real-life examples, and explore how inclusive solutions benefit everyone.
Session 4: From Problem to Solution: Design Thinking in Practice
Tuesday, 17 March 2026
An introduction to the design thinking process, including identifying needs, framing problems, and developing ideas that respond to real-life challenges.
Session 5: From Idea to Impact: Making Your Innovation Real
Tuesday, 31 March 2026
Stories and examples demonstrating how simple ideas can evolve into practical solutions, services, or even social enterprises.
🕒 All sessions will take place on Tuesdays, 14:00–15:00 CET / 15:00–16:00 EET.
Each session follows a 60-minute breakout format, including a short introduction by the facilitator, a presentation by the lead mentor, interactive breakout rooms (6–10 students per group) guided by a co-mentor with a short exercise, and a plenary wrap-up with Q&A.
